About the Film
A Hole Where the Pool Used to Be
Jana and Tea are spending the summer at their grandparents' house. The old pool in the yard is empty now — just a concrete hole collecting leaves and heat. The two girls circle each other and the hole, negotiating a dynamic that summer has always reset but never resolved.
Director Ana Vučićević draws a quiet, precise portrait of girlhood and the peculiar tension that forms between sisters in the long days of summer. Bazen rupa is a film about waiting — for something to happen, for a fight to break, for the pool to fill again.
Selected for the Short Film Competition at Brač Film Festival 2025.
