PLOT

The government investigates the widows of Croatian soldiers in order to track down those living in extra-marital unions and take away their late husbands’ pensions. Koko and his friends are spending summer vacation on the shores of a lake near the idyllic Green Hill, hanging out and playing. DESCRIPTION

During a 20 year career in journalism, Marijana Marinović has met and spoken with many celebrities. For the past two years and a half, after finishing her course in photography at New York Film Academy, she began shooting celebrity portraits, usually on red carpets of film festivals. Born in Split but with family from Brač and currently living in New York, this will be Marijana’s first time exhibition of black & white portraits, mainly of popular actors, athletes and TV personalities. All money raised will be donated to Associations for the blind in Split.

ABOUT

Vinko Brešan is back at Brač Film Festival. On the second day he is holding masterclasss on topic: "How to develop idea for film?". During 1 hour lecture, one of the most successful film directors will, through interactive disccusion, talk about initial stage of the film - idea. The main topics will be, how to recognise good film idea and develop it into the film?

BIOGRAPHY

Vinko Brešan is well-known theatre and one of the most popular film director in Croatia. His successful films "How the War Started on My Island", "Marshal" and "The Priest's Children" are amoungst most watched croatian movies in cinemas. Comedy "The Priest's Children" was nominated as best European film comedy. Film "How the War Started on My Island" had more than 330 000 viewers in cinemas which made him one of the most watched croatian movies all time. The film was awarded with Golden Arena for best director at Pula Film Festival 1996. Brešan also god Golden Arenas for movies "Marshall" and "Witness".
